About Me
Lulled is a freelance portfolio and often neglected blog of developer/designer Timothy Lau. I have been designing and developing web sites since 1998, which began as a hobby that soon developed into my passion.
My background originated in the fine arts. I obtained my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the University of Calgary where I mainly did photography, illustration and printmaking. I felt the web was a great place to apply my artistic background into something that can be functional and useful to others. Now web design has become my profession, I have worked for web design studios, interactive agencies, and the post-secondary institutions. I am currently enjoying my time as a freelance developer.
I am proficient in the entire Adobe Suite and have dabbled in illustration, video, creative writing, 3D and digital compositing. Most of my professional experience has been as a front end developer but I still try to take on design projects whenever I can. I enjoy the challenge of transforming form into function, from concept to a fully working website. My artistic background allows me to conceptualize great design while still being technically proficient to develop intuitive user-friendly websites.
